Smart women finish rich
In my quest for further enlightenment, I was browsing Amazon.com and came across Smart Women Finish Rich by David Bach (see right for link). I’d never heard of Mr Bach before but he appears to have a solid fanbase – out of 133 reviews, his book had earned an average five-star rating. Being impatient, I went straight to my local Borders to buy it immediately, cringing slightly at the price-tag (is spending my money on books REALLY the best way to make money?).
But Chapter One and I am already learning.
Summary:
Women are generally screwed financially unless they have some kind of saving plan.
Never rely on someone else for your financial future. (I knew this one from Rich Woman.)
It’s not how much you earn, it’s how much you spend that counts.
Inflation will bite you in the ass.
