Will Guest Blog For Food
I had my first stint as a guest blogger today on ryanshamus.com and blogged about the usefulness of long tail keyword searches, a topic which coincidentally involved a few links back to chez Rich Minx.
Thanks for the opportunity, Ryan!
It’s nice to be a guest blogger because I can network and get some backlinks but it’s also a strange feeling, like I’ve hacked into someone else’s blog and taken over their identity like some Web 2.0 sci-fi episode.
While I was writing my guest blog I kept a close eye on The Effective Way to Market With Articles, which made me think more carefully about my keywords and how I was going to present myself. I guess it’s a little bit like emerging with a nice outfit and flattering makeup versus stumbling outdoors in a moth-eaten dressing gown, looking like a hungover celebrity caught by camera on Perez Hilton’s bi-yachy (and extremely lucrative) website. No I’m not linking to it, you know the way!

Hey no problem, more thanks to you for posting a great article!
And from you post below - I do the 9-5 thing (actually it’s 9-6) but most of the day I try to waste away in Interweb land. I have friends there of course, good ones. But I really, really want out! I mean, I want out of there more than anything short of winning the lottery. If I won the lottery, I would probably stick around for a while until the boss pissed me off, and then I would do something crazy like go to the bathroom on his desk or something that would martyrize me….
Maybe some day it will happen…..who knows.
May 22nd, 2007 at 4:43 pmThere used to be a great lottery commercial on TV where a man in a suit walks through the office with a big grin towards the exit, and the receptionist looks up and asks him when he’ll be back. He steps into the lift, turns around, and calmly replies, “Never” as the doors close. Brilliant.

May 22nd, 2007 at 7:47 pmWhat kind of food are you after? I’d send you a donut from Tim Horton’s but I’m not sure, by the time it arrived in NYC, it would still be the Canadian national treasure that it is when fresh.
May 23rd, 2007 at 12:11 pmWell, Jon, I am actually heading to Canada in a week! Not for the donut specifically.
May 23rd, 2007 at 12:23 pmLattes and donuts on me, if you’re coming to Edmonton…LOL. The only bona fide tourist attraction within 300km (except for the donuts) is the world’s largest mall. Wouldn’t be good for your shopaholism recovery though.
