Another New Site: Movie Minx
I’ve created another Minx site called Movie Minx. It’ll have my reviews of classic movies and be updated every few days.
But Minx, how can you possibly have the time to run Rich Minx, Travel Minx and Movie Minx, plus juggle your 10 adopted orphan children, your A-list movie career and relationship with Brad Pitt?
Well, let me debunk the above. I don’t have 10 adopted orphan children.
Also, Movie Minx will be much easier to run because…
I have already written most of the content for the next year or so. Allow me to explain.
Once upon a time, a few years back, I started writing these reviews and watching a lot of DVDs because I wanted to see all the famous films. I wrote the reviews on a Blogspot blog, did little to no promotion, gained 10 faithful readers and that was that. Those reviews have been languishing in Blogistan ever since.
So I’ve imported the reviews to the new Wordpress-hosted site, timestamped them, added the widgets that I think work best for user stickiness and SEO, and hey presto.
Isn’t that cheating?
I don’t think so. It’s my writing. Very few people have read the reviews. And I’ll be tweaking them and adding some new ones. I think it’ll be a much better site now, and since I’ve done all the work I’d like people to actually read them.
So if you’re interested in films, head over. Thanks for listening, and this is the last new site for a bit, promise! Now excuse me, Brad needs something.

Hi Minx,
Have you thought about duplicate content penalties in search engines? I assume your Blogspot blog is indexed by Google. If so, you’ll want to get Google to de-index it. You should be able to do that through the Webmaster Tools.
Of course, I could be wrong about all this….
June 30th, 2007 at 1:32 pmHi Andrew. I was told that deactivating my Blogspot blog would prevent any penalties.
