		<description>True. I guess it&#039;s the opposite of the point I made in &#039;Reasons for..&#039; A prenup can protect one person but leave the other more vulnerable. 

NZ definitely has generous laws for those in long-term relationships. You don&#039;t even have to be married, just live together for at least two years. I&#039;m all in favor of protecting people in domestic situations but the 50/50 clause can be a little harsh if there are no kids involved. That&#039;s why I think a prenup can be a good idea - as long as both parties are in agreement.</description>

		<description>You missed one important reason against a prenup - if there is a power imbalance between the parties. For example, if I was going to leave my career to raise the family etc and my husband was earning a lot more than me then, if the law of my country would give me more than I would get a a prenup (as is the case often in NZ), there is NO WAY I would sign a prenup.</description>
