I also have an online t-shirt shop, at http://www.cafepress.com/climbaddict, and am working toward earning through my blog(woohoo....4 cents came in so fa today! I'm rich!) Would love to be my own boss one day and run my own business but my appetite for travel, adventure and seeing / experiencing more of the world runs directly against that theme. I blog for fun and when I make time for it - any money I make from it goes towards hosting charges. Time is stretched running all of them, but I love to be in command of what I do, and I find the income generation much more flexible - when I have a heavy bill month, I just accept more contracts or market one of the bands more heavily. I love the fact that my workload is so directly related to my paypacket - it makes me feel much more in control. Having run small businesses, I really wouldn't want to go back to working for someone else if I could avoid it.
