Sunday Link Express

  • 45n5, a cool new blog I’ve just subscribed to for its interesting posts, has made a handy list of the Top 100 Make Money Online blogs based on their Technorati, Alexa and Google rankings. I’m currently at #45 on the list. However, as Nate Whitehill rightly points out, the Technorati ranking is skewed by link trains which I’ve participated in and am not particularly proud of now.
  • ProBlogger showed us his office in a recent video post and encouraged us to do the same. I thought that was a nice idea so whipped up my own video. It’s a new place so the room’s looking a little empty, but I was happy with the glow-in-the-dark stars and I have now figured out how to plug my MacBook into my PC monitor (mini VGA/DVI cable, according to Apple Store geeks).
  • Cash Quests had a recent post called All Guest Bloggers Must Die because “guest blogging content is awful”. Die? *tears* Actually I haven’t guest blogged for months, so can sleep easy. I think guest posts can be awful, but not always. What do you think?

Congrats on making it on the list. Having “rich” in your URL probably helped some. I like guest blogging. It gains new readers for the guest blogger.

Thanks Rich Minx for the mention, I just found this blog too ;-) More video pretty please…………

    I think guestbloggers are ace!

And you really should do more guestblogging, mentioning nothing in particular ;)

    Shona,

Everyone has a right to their opinion but they should be more careful about guest bloggers should die. That could be misinterpreted as a threat. That is just stupid.

As far as the subject of guest bloggers I am all for it as it helps me get to know some bloggers i have never heard of before. This is great as I gain more perspective. There is room for us all on the Internet so whoever does not like this should just relax.

I have participated in link trains myself but I do not feel guilty as the motive was pure. It did greatly help my technorati ranking but I am still lacking as far as traffic. Guess I need to write better content and have more compelling stories.

Well thanks for pointing out this site for me. I appreciate it.
